August 11 – PRE-TRY OUT TRAINING: This boot camp prepare skaters to participate in the Bay Area Derby Girls annual tryouts (offered Sept 1st). Skaters will take part in drills similar to those that will make up the try-out process, while receiving coaching and feedback from Bay Area All Star skaters. Participants should have at least beginning skating skills, including the ability to stop safely, and the physical capacity to participate in a fast-paced athletic environment. Register now
August 18 – BASIC TRAINING: This boot camp is aimed at beginning and intermediate skaters with derby experience who are interested in improving their play. Bay Area All Star skaters will coach participants through a variety of game-like scenarios and drills with a large portion of the session devoted to scrimmage play. Participants should have significant scrimmage and preferably some bouting experience. Register now
