Want to skate with one of the best flat-track derby leagues in the world? Tryout for BAD Dec 14, 2013! At tryouts, skaters compete for a chance to join our league by participating in drills designed to measure their overall knowledge of derby.
League coaches will be evaluating individual skating skills, strength and athleticism on day one. New skaters do not have to be experts – we are looking for skaters who are coachable and show aptitude, understanding and improvement.
Skaters who pass the first day will be invited back for day two which will mainly consist of scrimmage type scenarios and drills. Knowledge of the game’s rules will also be tested. Day one of tryouts will be on Saturday, December 14 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Call-backs will be on Sunday December 15, time TBA.
Online pre-registration is required, there is a $10 non-refundable fee to participate. Sorry no spectators allowed.
Please bring:
1. Your ID.
2. Your registration paperwork
3. Quad roller skates
4. Safety equipment: helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, kneepads and a mouth guard.
5. Bottle of water
6. Towel
7. Healthy snacks, fruit, nuts or sports bars.
You are required to have your own equipment. We do not have loaner skates or safety items.
