April 5, 2010 – The bout began with some enthusiastic theatrics from both sides – glory laps taken by each ShEvil Dead team member as her name was announced by a commentator that was barely audible over the reverberating boos and cheers from the crowd. Derby games only come every once in awhile – the next match for the Outlaws isn’t until May – so every one counts. Particularly this one.

December 1, 2009 – “At the beginning of 2009, the B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls took on a first year roller derby coach to head up their travel team for the year. Garth Adlao, aka Coach G$, immersed himself immediately in the sport and helped the team compete home and away all season. Ultimately, the team took fifth place at the WFTDA Western Regionals Tournament in October. Now that his rookie season has ended, Coach G$ answered some questions about his goals, the sport, and his team.”
