B.A.D. at Bridgetown Brawl (Western Regionals)

Watch our amazing Golden Girls battle it out for the honor of being named the best in the west and to compete for a spot in the WFTDA Championship tournament later this year. The Bridgetown Brawl WFTDA Western Regional tournament is hosted by the Rose City Rollers in Portland, OR, September 23-25.

A letter to our community

Dear friends:

Saturday, July 9, was an evening of mixed blessings for the B.A.D. Girls. After a successful Championship event at the Craneway Pavilion on the Richmond Harbor, league members who were transporting the money raised from the event were robbed at gunpoint.

Thankfully our league members were not injured. However the robbery was not only a shock to our community, but it took our entire financial reserve and profit for the event, totaling thousands of dollars that would have gone towards both future events and our practice venue.

Roller derby is a sisterhood. SCR holds a raffle at every bout and donates the proceeds to local charity. But this time, funds are needed closer to home. As you know, B.A.D. is in dire need of fundraising. We thank SCR in donating the profits of this bout’s raffle to our league. But don’t think for a second that this will make the Resistance go easier on them!

Bay Area Derby Girls Host Battle for the Bay

Saturday’s roller derby match at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond saw another win for the undefeated Richmond Wrecking Belles against the Berkeley Resistance, with a score of 130-98.

The Berkeley Resistance is the newest team in the league.
